Well it’s Tuesday and I’m still in Barnet hospital - hopefully out today but it has seriously impacted my training. Need to fit in two long runs this week to make up for it now but maybe not today.
And I have a start date!! So excited to be joining the team at NWIS on the 1 September.

So Im out of hospital and back on Social Media! Missed my long run this week and planning how to make it up (Ill manage somehow) but maybe not today as Im back adjusting to life on new meds.
So at least I know what is now wrong - basically I have a weird brain (but at least I have one and photographic proof of this).
Massive thanks to all the staff at The Royal Free Trust - Chase Farm Walk In, Barnet Hospital and particularly in MSSU and ED Resus for their care and support.
Now to get back on with life in what will be a very new normal and not just entirely COVID related!!
Anyway, my fundraising is now even more relevant to me so if anyone can sponsor me please do. My plan is to run on 4th October virtually - 26.2 miles around the Royal Free sites, and then for real in October next year. If anyone wants to come and run parts of it (or all of it) with me this year I would love that - or just come and wave gin/wine at me that would be great. Ive now raised my target to 10000 as I have extra time to fundraise and because having witnessed the work they do first hand I know that every penny will be spent to make a huge difference to peoples lives.
Anyway off for a short run to get me back moving and Ill keep you all updated. Enjoy the sun

Back running taking it as a slow rebuild - I don’t want to end up back out of action. Trying to run with one weak side is a challenge but I’ve dealt with worse .
Also back coaching - well didn’t coach as wasn’t so confident in unstable surfaces (sorry guys) but it was great to be back in the hall.
Massive thanks to Libby for just being there and listening and being ready to catch!! Btw coffee/wine anything - I’m your girl!! We need some fun in life.
Anyway - you all know the drill - please sponsor me as I work towards the London Marathon - virtual on 4th October 2020 and for real in October 2021 xxx

Well it’s only Saturday night but feels like I have done more than a weekend already!
Having run 5 miles and then coached (let’s actually say sat in hall and chatted tbh) yesterday and worked a 5am to 10am shift I decided to keep building the running. Managed a very slow 8.5 miles but I am so happy I managed to do it - mainly because it was cold and raining and horrible out! Still haven’t done my 18 miles I missed when I hospital but have done it over three days (not sure it counts). Hopefully can do it next week.
Having been told I can’t have a bath but swimming is ok as long as there are lifeguards I then went to the gym and swam a few lengths - so good to be back in the water. Just made me feel so more normal.
Can’t wait for the jacuzzi to open but think that will be a while. Apparently the gyms in Wales are also now open so I can now get back to building the weak side I apparently now have and not just wait till I’m in London.
Then went and coached was great to be back in and the guys were clearly happy that my usual brand of caring non sarcastic coaching was back(!) although they did seem to think it slightly funny that I might fall off the side/end deck for reason at all. The sympathy is clearly mutual! (They did offer to mat me if I fell though because there is a reason for the fall - I assume without the reason this means that they would let me fall and just laugh!!).
Just hoping that things recover on their own and with work. and I’m not left this weak. Finding I couldn’t even fold a trampoline today was a shock. But everything is possible to overcome it just takes work, so I’m on it!
Anyway tomorrow is rest day so I’m going to give the bike and cycling a try - wish me luck because I am truly awful on a bike!! Could be fun!!
So today is thr last day of shielding in wales. Seems weird that the same day the Uk has its highest level of cases for a while, though South Wales figures are low so maybe not so mad,
I won’t be going out and partying to celebrate though, just hoping we don’t get a second wave and more shielding.
Some great techniques with a mop and clinell wipes demonstrated by Levitation Trampoline Club members on my bed today.
As for the actual trampolining....

So today I did a thing.....I wanted to do the Prudential Ride London virtual 100 miles in aid of Royal Free Charity. I didn’t mention anything as wasn’t sure I could do it - however very slowly I did manage. Unfortunately the Prudential App stopped working at 90 miles but another app recorded it. I can say I prefer run to cycling - it hurts less!! But I’m actually quite proud of myself - I only fell off twice.
So after cycling a quick run to warm down as cycling hurts so much. Only 2.5 miles but it was needed.
