So my number has arrived. Ive planned my route. Its getting increbily near and is now really quite worrying. Having lots of doubts as to whether I can finish, what the weather will be like, will I be able to get rid of the blister Ive had for two weeks, will it be as cold as it was at Lee Valley yesterday etc etc! I guess this is usual and once I get going all will be ok. Fingers crossed! Whatever happens I will walk/run/crawl to complete the distance. Once thing I have come to realise about distance running that it is, at my basic level, 10% technique, 10% fitness and 80% mind over matter. Im lucky in that my previous experience in competitive sport as a coach and competitor has set me up well on the psychological front so hopefully the mind over matter will not be a problem. One thing I would like to sort though is a cortisone injection into my ankle to ease that.
