So having run the distance of a marathon in my road in March I have now been offered a chance to do the real thing! This week I was very lucky to be offered a place in the London Marathon - hopefully in October, but if not then in April next year. Having debated whether I am fit enough, and with shielding whether I could train enough, I then realised I was just being a wimp so took the place! With the way lockdown and shielding has been, this seemed like the goal I needed to make something positive of what has been an awful year. I am so excited, and basically terrified. Lets be fair I am not naturally a runner, and have been described as running like ä drunk duck". But Im going to train and I will complete it. So I have decided that from now on I will only do one charity event a year, and this is the one for this year! I am running for a fantastic cause (details on my JustGiving page) which is research into epilepsy - a cause which is very close to myself and my family. Please could eveyone support me, and donate even 5 pound. I will be your friend for life (or not if you prefer!) and it will keep me out of trouble for the next 6 months!! Just click on the link and it should take you to the right place. Love you all x x x
