So I just ran a new PB 10k. Huge thanks to my new Fordy Friends who pushed me to go faster and made me feel so welcome and safe. And to the organisers at Kew who made such a safe and fun race to run. xx
So on Saturday I ran my second ever 10k race and met some fantastic people who pushed me to run faster than I have ever run a 10k. Mo Farah I will never be but was so happy and emotional to cross the line (at all) and with such a time. Same race the next day but with 17 miles afterwards ready for the virtual London marathon - so I won’t be going that fast tomorrow!! Massive thanks to the organisers of the race and to FordyRunsRC. I then went to coach a trampoline session. Tired but just had the best experience.

Finishing long run after race
Ok so two races in two days (where the second would have been a PB if I hadn’t run so fast the day before!) took more out of me than I thought and I was randomly more bothered by the blister on the side of my foot than anything else so it was an ok pace. GPS still screwy so I need to fix that by 4 October - but I have a plan - remove everything from my phone and watch for that day so nothing conflicts :) So I did the same race again today - as part of my 23 miles long run. Not so fast today but could be worse. And met some even more lovely people from FORDY RUNS - thank you so much for being so welcoming and keeping me safe. And thanks again to the organisers of the race for such a safe and lovely event. It’s a beautiful place to run xx

17 miles done - absolutely shattered but what an amazing day. Ran in some beautiful places - mainly Kew but the Ealing parks are lovely too. But that is the photo of someone who is now a zombie! Hoping to get back to the gym before it closes so I can have a swim
