Easy 4 miles
So despite a horrible blister that won’t go from last weekend and being so tired (this working from home is hard work!!) that’s not a bad pace :) In March my best 5k was 36 min, now I’m going u see that easy - at some point I guess I need to race to see what my time is now - but I’m really not a 5k runner so it won’t be as quick as id like!!

Last half marathon before VLM
I’m amazed how tired racing makes me. Definite run and walk today as very hot and I’m shattered. Now it’s two weeks to taper down before the Virtual London Marathon. It’s very close now and I’m really worried I won’t get through it as my ankles are so sore today. Going to invest in some painkillers though!!

So another weekend racing this time at Olympic Park - despite it being horrible, hot and hilly not a bad time. Last time I ran here in March My 5k race was 36 min, halfway through a 10k it was 30:30 so am getting quicker on the shorter runs. Then a very slow 13.1 for the Virtual Ealing Half marathon today. Just a beautiful day to run though. VLM is now scarily close - am just hoping I can finish it as my fitness on long runs seems to be getting worse not better. I also finished my run/walk 2020 miles in 2020. Just another really fun day with Runner Community by FORDY RUNS and particularly the dream team Ally Hardisty-Hill and Catherine Dransfield
Such a hard time racing today as it was hot and hilly and loopy but not a bad time considering ust so loving racing at the one time - it’s made life so fun and feels very safe (huge thanks the to organisers) and meeting people every week is just making life the best and it’s all good training for VLM with Royal Free Charity (not sure I would have gone out and run today otherwise tbh!).
So another weekend racing this time at Olympic Park - despite it being horrible, hot and hilly not a bad time. Last time I ran here in March My 5k race was 36 min, yesterday halfway through a 10k it was 30:02 so am getting quicker on the shorter runs somehow. And we had medals - got to love a medal!!
Then a very slow 13.1 for the Virtual Ealing Half marathon today. Just a beautiful day to run and now tourist season is over it’s much quieter on the roads.
VLM is now scarily close - am just hoping I can finish it as my fitness on long runs seems to be getting worse not better. Going to invest in some painkillers as my ankle was so sore at 12 miles it became no fun.
I also finished my run/walk 2020 miles in 2020 goal and most importantly of all I cleaned the house! So all in all not a bad weekend at all. It has been the most beautiful weather.
Anyway you know what’s next, please support the epilepsy research project I am running for for Royal Free Charity and sponsor me I’m a quarter of the way to my target
