4 miles easy run
Another day where feel like I’m dragging through mud but managed to make it round 4 miles!!
Wish I could hug my mum and dad so much. Not seen them then since end of February and I don’t dare to see them for a while to come with their health issues.

Wine. Spiders. Giraffes toes.
So happy about the new lockdown easing in Wales
We aren’t exactly partying this far west (we can’t even get a hair dresser appointment) but life is definitely more fun now!!

So to celebrate what was a very strange but ultimately really good week (good things clearly did come in threes the same as bad ones) today was meant to be a 12 mile run, but I miscalculated slightly and at 12.5 thought I might as well do a half marathon and get to 13.1 miles.
A beautiful day to run but I did realise that with the amount of tourists in porthcawl it probably is going to be too hard for me to keep enough distance from people to be out safely in the day. So either run elsewhere or back to early mornings/late evenings.
Not a great time as again starting at sea level and heading inland only means one thing - HILLS! I am also blaming the lack of speed on the issue of blisters forming on the bottom of my toes when I run. Need to sort this before London as it makes me look more like a waddling duck when I run than usual. But stuck a needle in them so hopefully now they will heal before tomorrow’s short run.
A definite bonus of running to Bridgend is the company and food when you get there had another lovely evening. Back to work tomorrow.
If anyone would sponsor me it would be amazing - and it’s for a wonderful cause

4 miles easy Run
Rain....just rain. Can wait until the gyms open, to be honest I would travel to England if it meant I could run on a nice warm treadmill! But apparently it’s good for the soul (or some rubbish like that).

3 miles warm up, 3 miles tempo, 2 miles cool down
The tempo went well, but a slow warm up :)
Really special presents came today from my parents who I haven’t seen since lockdown started - they don’t look like much because they are purely sentimental. Firstly a plant which is a cutting from the original which my grandmother had - the one who I am running the marathon in memory of Secondly a DVD of recipes handwritten by my other grandmother for me. She spent years writing me a receipt book in the most beautiful writing. My mother has the original but these have now been scanned so they can’t be lost. Huge memories of them xx
